Jared, thanks for dropping by. For a long time I carried a Leica DLux for the same reason. Lately, the iPhone accomplishes this role for me. I always have my phone with me, and I love this retro look square format apps to create different and compelling images. Most of all for me it’s a matter of registering the moment, and this solution works great.

I looked at the photos first, then I read that you shot them on the iPhone. Wow! I have a fancy DLSR but I never have it in my pocket when I would need a camera. Maybe some day I will get a more portable camera!

Is really interesting to look into our keepers and 5 stars percentile (I use a similar rating system, but with colors in Lightroom).

I’ve to do the maths with my images, but a cool analysis to look into is to see if our keepers & top images ratio against the yearly shotted images increases among the years or if we maintain a constant ratio.
Perhaps this exercise can push us forward (the desiree or intention to raise up those ratios) in order to know if our “quality” (in our own eyes, when subjectively we qualify our images) moves up or down.
